Why You Should Celebrate CX Day

We have clients ask all the time how they can drive customer-centric organizations with limited resources and budgets. Can you relate? If you are a CX professional, an organization trying to drive customer-centricity with your employees, or maybe a leader dedicated to putting your customers first, you should be celebrating 2018 CX Day. It’s free!

CX Day is an annual celebration, created by the Customer Experience Professionals Association (CXPA), dedicated to celebrating our customers and thanking employees for the service and support they provide them. This year, it’s on October 2nd, which is right around the corner!

Here’s the good news. CXPA has a website dedicated to CX Day, which provides free resources and materials to help connect you with other organizations in celebration as well. So why celebrate?

  • Create more awareness of what customer experience is and what it means in your organization.
  • Create awareness of current CX initiatives underway in your organization.
  • Celebrate customer successes.
  • Thank and award employees for their work to deliver great customer experiences.
  • Network with other organizations and CX professionals who are celebrating and driving customer experience.
  • Promote and recognize your organization by nominating yourself for a CX Impact Award.

Here are a few ideas to consider as you plan your celebrations:

  • Customer-centric cultures are driven from the top down. Have your CEO send a company-wide email thanking employees for their service and support of your customers.
  • Share customer testimonials throughout the day, highlighting examples of superb customer service.
  • Create internal CX awards. Consider both employee and leadership nominated awards and publicly recognize nominees and winners.
  • Consider an activity that gets employees thinking about customer experience. Empathy and journey mapping are great ways to get employees thinking how customers are thinking, feeling, and doing throughout their journey with you.

We hope to be in celebration with you on October 2nd! If you have questions or would like to brainstorm ideas to bring CX Day to life in your organization, let’s chat!
